The International Diffusion Center (CDI-USP), in which the conference will be held is the outcome of USP’s international expansion goals. Situated within the university campus, the CDI-USP building complex is nestled amidst lush greenery, reflecting its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Getting Here

Airport: Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) / Congonhas Airport (CGH)

Travel Distance: GRU is located about 50 KM or 31 miles from USP. CGH is closer, being only 15 KM or 9 miles away from USP.

Transportation Options

By Uber

An UberX ride from GRU airport typically costs around R$100. From CGH it should cost about R$60. The journey takes between 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions.

By Taxi

There are Taxi Counters outside the terminals in both airports. They have a fixed price for the commute, which is around R$150-200 for GRU and R$50-80 for CGH. It takes between 40 minutes to 1 hour to arrive at USP.


From any metro station, switch to Metro Line 4 (Yellow) and travel to Butantã station, where you should disembark. Locate the bus terminal behind the station and board either Bus 8012 or Bus 8022. If you take the Bus 8012, exit in front of the Banks (Parada Reitoria / Bancos). If it’s 8022, exit in front of the Psychology Institute (Parada Psicologia II).

From GRU

One option is to take advantage of the Airport Bus Service (R$ 39), conveniently located right after the arrivals zone of the airport. Board the Gru-Paulista bus and inform the driver to stop at the intersection of Av. Paulista and Rua Consolação, where you’ll find the Paulista-Consolação metro station (Line 4, Yellow). Then, proceed with the Metro+Bus instructions.

Alternatively, via public transportation, directly in front of the arrivals zone of the airport, catch the bus named “Tatuapé,” which travels from the airport to the Tatuapé metro station (Line 3, Red). Upon boarding the metro, head towards “Palmeiras-Barra Funda” and make a transfer from Line 3 to Line 4 at the “República” station. From there, continue following the Metro+Bus instructions provided earlier.

TOTAL TRAVEL TIME: 2 – 2:30 hrs.

From CGH

Right after exiting the airport, you’ll find a bus stop where you can board bus number 675I, named “São Judas”. Disembark the bus in front of the São Judas metro station (Line 1, Blue). Hop on the metro heading towards “Tucuruvi” and make a line change from Line 1 to Line 2 (Green) at the “Ana Rosa” station. Next, take the metro towards “Vila Madalena” and alight at the “Consolação” station, where you can access Line 4 (Yellow). Then, proceed with the Metro+Bus instructions as detailed earlier.

TOTAL TRAVEL TIME: 1:30 – 2 hrs.
